The back surgery has helped
Hello all,
Mom got out of the hospital on Saturday. She still has pain but it is better. They found a tear in a nerve and of course arthritis. The Dr. repaired the tear and cleaned out a lot of calcium deposits and took the pressure off of the same nerve. We will go back to the Dr. on the 22nd and then she will start therapy( I think )to strengthen all her muscles in the back ,stomach, and legs.
Dad and I went to Uncle Don's funeral on Monday. It was a very nice funeral. He had a golf ball, a fishing lure, a shotgun shell ,and his rosary in the casket. Aunt Ann is very thin. Keep saying prayers for her. Rod , Rhonda, Suzie, John, Dad, and I sat together at the kids table. Patty and Don and all of their kids were there of course and Vincent, Natasha, and their girls(2). Patty's children are all really tall like she and Don, except for Cassie; even her birth brother Jake. Cassie has two really darling children and possibly a husband. I didn't ask and we weren't introduced but whoever he was he was a very good Daddy.
Vincent's girls are really cute. He was staying to help his Mom with all the loose ends.
Patty's daughter Jane sang a solo and did a really nice job. Then on her way back to her seat she cried and cried. She is graduating this Spring.
It was nice to see Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Roy and Suzie and John. Since Grandma is gone I never see any of them. The same goes for all of Uncle Don's family; and now it is too late for him. Makes me rethink how busy I am.
Jason called Mom on Tuesday and said he has 89 days left and he will head for the US. That is good news.
That is all the info I have for now.
Love,
Sherry

Sherry, thanks for the good new about your mom. Glad to know Uncle Don's funeral was so good for everyone. So glad to hear that Jason's time overseas is getting shorter and his return home nearer.
