Almost May!

Hi to everyone! I received a call from my little brother, wanting to know why I don't go in to the BLOG and post an note. Gosh! Because, like most of you, I don't remember to do it and then when I finally do, I can't get in to the thing, couldn't even remember how to get in to the website. So, I needed to be re-invited and sign up with a new password and all that stuff, good grief. Good thing I love you all and think you're worth it.

I am working at home, 40 hours a week, as a contractor for Qwest, still....so I am taking a short break to do this (otherwise I'll never hear the end of it). Not much going on. We don't celebrate Easter so I didn't get to see Sean, Rebecca or my grandsons, Dare and Patrick. I did go up to Seattle and spent the day with Becky for her 27th birthday in March. We had a great time. She has lost a lot of weight so she is looking really good. I took her to the Macy's Junior department (she obviously got Aunt Bonnie's genes, what's up with that?!!!). Her dad watched the boy's while we shopped. Then I took her to dinner and headed home, very long day and almost 6 hours of driving, but we had a great time.

Everyone seems to be healthy! I just spent the weekend at the Oregon coast with 5 of my girlfriends. We had a great time playing games and just hanging out. Ken and I will be heading to Las Vegas for a week on May 12th. We have reservations to sunny Mexico in July and a cruise in November. I know that Steve and Dave are heading to Palm Springs CA for some fun in the sun (hopefully Steve will wear lots of sunblock and a HAT!!!).

I read all the entries that you posted. I am sorry to hear about Uncle Don. I hope Aunt Lois is doing okay with her knee replacement, although I understand she has something going on that isn't good. Annie, yikes! You seem to have everything under control...you did lots of research and you appear to understand everything. It is a bit confusing but sounds like the tumor has gotten smaller, that is good, right?

I can't believe that Suzie and John are selling the farm. WOW! Knock me down with a feather! That is a really big change, but there are good things to everything, Suz! John's new job sounds exciting and I hope he really enjoys it.

I think about Jason a lot and keep him in my thoughts and prayers. I wish we would get out of Iraq and everyone could come home safe and sound.

Sherry, I really miss you! Wish I had some time to come and visit. Maybe the summer of 2008? Gosh, I hate to even say that!

Everyone take care!

Love to all of you,

Debbie

Dear Deb and Ken,
We just need to set a date. My best time is from Jan to April 1st. Does that work for you? Where do you want to meet? Or is that a good time for Oregon? It is dreary then isn't it?
I just want to not have to hurry to anywhere. Just be able to visit and see some things I haven't seen before. But if you want to come back here in the summer it is fine with me. You know I'll make time for that also. We've talked about having a family get together on Mothers Day or Grandma's birthday every year but I haven't gotten it organized yet. How many years has she been gone? Good to hear from you. Love Sherry
