Wednesday night rolling around again...

Hi everyone,
It's always so much fun to look to see if there's been any new postings -- and there is! So I'll pick up the baton from Annie and add our news, well, it's really not news, just what's been going on...
Still at the farm, still advertising, more lookers, one really insulting offer, but the flowers look terrific and I've picked about six gallons of gooseberries, and we've got lots of baby kittens that are so much fun. I'm pretty much ok with whatever. Finally tired of making excuses for the furnace and a/c that was there when we moved in and ordered a new heat pump-going all electric so raised our asking price this round. Lowering it didn't seem to help, so we'll see what this does-one never knows. I may be using these towels for a good many more years.
Tomorrow starts fireworks selling season in York. 10 am to 10 pm through the 4th. I'm managing the stand this year with John's and a friend's help. It's a working vacation, but totally different and the end is in sight already. We'll be armed with chairs, magazines and coolers -- we have a semi-trailer so can lock up and go home at night, and we're in the Wendy's parking lot so we can feast on fast food for seven days. It's always fun and this year the proceeds are earmarked for car repairs so it'll be productive too.
Then like Annie said, we've got our annual Wyoming trip in the works. Just thinking about makes me cooler and more relaxed. Every year I can't wait to get out there, and (Thanks Annie) now I'm not worried about my Wyoming future. Mom and Dad decided it would be ok if Eric went with, just yesterday (thank goodness) so all systems are go.
Received an e-mail from the Nebraska Alumni Association today -- there's going to be a drum and bugle corp competition in July in Lincoln. Think we'll try to go -- it reminded me of the time I went with Uncle Raymonds to see the Casper Troopers when they went through O'Neill. They're one of the groups performing. It was pretty exciting.
Got to do a fun thing last Sunday -- the Friends of the Library asked me to present my favorite book (along with 11 others) at a program. The closer it got the more nervous I got, but it was really fun to hear what the others had chosen, and I had several people comment on my book and want to read it. I don't think I said everything that I had in my notes, but guess no one else knows that.
John's still learning more about the insurance and investment world. Seems to him like he's moving really slowly, but keep telling him it'll come around. He's been working on cleaning up around the place also, so that gets him a bit of a work-out.
Will visit more later. Hope all of you are well and happy. Steve, hope your job is going well and that by now you are just responsible for one instead of both.
Love, Suz
