Adding a little something...
No one has posted in awhile, so I figured I would take it upon myself to add a little something to the blog this month.
I've been on my low-iodine diet now for two weeks and will get to eat normally again on Friday after my body scan. You don't know how EXCITED I am!! I have been better prepared this time around, being my third time on it - a bread machine and George Foreman grill helps! I actually have found it fun to cook different recipes other than Red Baron French Bread Pizza or spaghetti and garlic bread! (I have eaten a lot of pasta though).
I started my round of appointments this morning and will finish the week with the body scan in the morning on Friday. Did I mention I can't wait until Friday? ;)
They have us working about 16 hours of overtime a week which is making for really good paychecks, but a very tired me. I want to get out to York while the fireworks stand is up this weekend, but not sure if I will get to. I sent Dad a package of Omaha Steaks for Father's day. We are planning our annual Wyoming trip for the second week in August and I've invited Eric to come this year, but we have to make sure it is okay with everyone. Since he is not officially part of the family yet, Grandma and Grandpa are talking it over and I respect whatever decision they make. I promised Mom, though, that we would continue the tradition of going up there (and I don't have a problem with that!) I also promised her that I would still take her when she was, "like 100 years old."
Hope everyone is doing well!
Happy Fourth!
